Rod Tanner

Rod Tanner is the Managing Shareholder of Tanner and Associates, P.C. in Fort Worth, Texas, and a nationally recognized trial attorney with decades of experience in labor and employment law. Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (1990–2019), Rod has represented clients in civil trials, class and collective actions, and appeals in both federal and state courts.

Rod earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1976 and his B.A. in English Literature with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, multiple U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals, and all Texas federal district courts.

Rod has been repeatedly recognized for legal excellence, appearing in The Best Lawyers in America (1996–2020) and as a Texas Super Lawyer (2003–2020). He was also named one of Texas’s Top 16 Labor and Employment Attorneys by Texas Lawyer and was honored as the best labor and employment attorney in Tarrant County by Fort Worth Business Press.

Rod has served as Co-Chair of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) Labor Law Practice Group, Past Chair of the State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Law Section, and Founding Member of the Texas Employment Lawyers Association.

Known for his advocacy, scholarship, and leadership, Rod remains a respected voice in labor and employment law in Texas and nationwide.
