S. Rafe Foreman

S. Rafe Foreman is a highly respected trial attorney and legal educator with over 35 years of experience representing clients in criminal defense, civil rights, personal injury, wrongful death, and employment discrimination cases. Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1994, Rafe is known for his courtroom skill, groundbreaking verdicts, and passionate advocacy for justice.

Rafe earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and his B.S. from Texas A&M University. Rafe has tried jury cases and obtained significant verdicts across numerous states, including Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Missouri. His 2021 gender discrimination verdict in federal court was a record-setting success, further cementing his national reputation.

Rafe is a nationally recognized trial advocacy expert and former law professor who held the prestigious Douglas Stripp Chair in Advocacy at UMKC School of Law. He has taught trial advocacy at top institutions including Stetson University, Oxford University, and the Trial Lawyers College, where he has served on the faculty for more than 20 years. Rafe created the acclaimed “Show Me Challenge,” the only dedicated jury selection competition in the United States, and he continues to train and mentor lawyers nationwide through trial advocacy lectures, workshops, and CLE programs.
