Leonard (“Len”) S. Magid is a founding member of Magid & Williams, P.A. in Jacksonville, Florida, and a Florida Board Certified Labor and Employment Law Specialist. With over two decades of experience, he has devoted his career to representing employees in a wide range of labor and employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, wage claims, and retaliation.
A graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Len earned his Juris Doctor in 1983 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1984 and the Florida Bar in 1987. He is AV® Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a Super Lawyer in employment litigation by his peers for five consecutive years (2008–2012), highlighting his long-standing recognition within the legal community.
Len is one of the few Jacksonville attorneys who has argued before the United States Supreme Court, showcasing his elite trial and appellate experience at the highest level. He also authored Florida’s Civil Restitution Lien Act, passed in 1994 to strengthen protections for crime victims, reflecting his long‑standing dedication to justice that extends well beyond employment law.
Leonard S. Magid is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the state of New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. His areas of practice include FMLA claims, wage and hour violations, whistleblower and workers’ compensation retaliation, non-compete disputes, and employment contracts.
As a dedicated member of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Len continues to be a powerful advocate for workers’ rights in litigation and policy reform.
