Zachary J. Liszka is a committed employment lawyer advocating for workplace justice in New York. Since 2014, he has represented employees facing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage theft. Zachary earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, where he focused on litigation. Before law school, he earned a B.A. in Journalism with Leadership Honors from the University of Alaska. His legal career was inspired by his experience winning an employment discrimination case, giving him a personal understanding of workplace injustice.
As an attorney, Zachary has successfully litigated major employment cases under the New York City Human Rights Law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. His notable cases include a class action against a national fitness chain for unpaid wages, a disability discrimination lawsuit against a law firm, and a landmark case involving workplace harassment and racial discrimination.
Beyond litigation, Zachary is an active leader in the employee-side legal community. He serves as Vice President and Director of the New York Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association and was editor of the New York Employee Advocate. He also volunteers as a mock juror for the American Bar Association’s employment law program, reinforcing his commitment to advancing employee rights.
