Danae Woodward is a highly experienced attorney with a strong background in employment and labor law. She has represented multinational corporations, Fortune 250 companies, public employers, labor unions, and individuals in various legal matters.
With years of in-house counsel experience at Duke Energy and Mecklenburg County Government and consulting for Wachovia/Wells Fargo’s Legal Division Employment Team, Ms. Woodward brings a deep understanding of workplace legal challenges. Her extensive experience allows her to provide strategic counsel on employment policies, workplace disputes, and labor relations.
Ms. Woodward earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1991. She also holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
Ms. Woodward has advised and represented clients in various employment and labor law matters, including Title VII discrimination claims, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) cases, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) disputes, and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compliance. She has also worked with E-Verify regulations, wage and hour disputes, USERRA protections, workplace violence policies, and employment contracts.
Ms. Woodward’s legal expertise extends to employee privacy rights, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and workplace investigations. Her in-house counsel roles and corporate legal consulting experience allow her to offer both proactive legal guidance and defense strategies for employers and employees. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina and has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Previously, she was licensed in Texas and Maryland, where she handled employment law cases in state and federal courts.
