Wesley P. Williams

Wesley P. Williams is a seasoned transactional attorney with more than two decades of experience in the energy industry. He focuses on upstream and midstream matters, guiding private equity sponsors, public companies, and management teams through acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and complex financing transactions across oil and gas markets.

Wes earned a B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1995. He later received a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, cum laude, 1998. His academic training built a strong base in corporate law and finance, preparing him to structure sophisticated transactions in highly regulated energy sectors.

Wes advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and partnership arrangements. He also represents private investment fund sponsors in forming private equity investment funds and oil and gas resource and minerals funds. His work includes counseling public companies on SEC reporting, corporate governance, and securities compliance matters.

Wes has led major transactions involving multibillion-dollar asset sales and strategic partnerships. His experience includes representing energy operators and investment groups in large-scale acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital commitments that support long-term growth. He also previously served as a firmwide corporate and securities practice leader, strengthening his leadership perspective.
