Vincent F. Pitta

Vincent F. Pitta is the managing partner of Pitta & Baione LLP in New York. His practice includes 9/11 benefit claims and advocacy for workers, unions, and organizations in labor and management matters. Pitta has spent nearly four decades working on traditional labor relations in both the private and public sectors. He also assists 9/11 victims with health care and compensation benefits available under the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act.

Pitta earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1978 and his B.A. from St. Francis College in 1972. He was admitted to the New York bar in 1978 and is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. Supreme Court. His legal education and long practice provide a foundation for work involving labor relations, public policy, and compensation matters.

Pitta has represented clients across industries including hospitality, sports, entertainment, health care, securities, trucking, construction, real estate, facilities management, manufacturing, sanitation, law enforcement, fire safety, and education. Following the September 11 attacks, he served on the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation Families Advisory Council and organized potential plaintiffs in litigation seeking accountability from parties alleged to have funded the attacks. His work has also included government relations and public-sector labor matters.

He has served with organizations including the Peggy Browning Fund, Police Athletic League, Richmond University Medical Center, and Catholic Legal Immigration Network.
