Thomassian earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, concentrating on Civil Rights litigation and Genocide law. He holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), specializing in Economic and Political Development and International Conflict Resolution. He completed his B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, establishing a strong academic foundation for his legal and global advocacy work.
During his time at Columbia, Thomassian was a Luys Foundation Scholar, engaging with an international network of Armenian students and scholars at leading universities around the world. His experience in development consulting and international reform strengthened his passion for advancing equity and social responsibility. This global experience continues to influence his legal strategies, allowing him to approach complex legal and policy issues from multiple perspectives.
In addition to his legal practice, Vaché Thomassian serves on several nonprofit and social justice boards and remains actively involved in community-based initiatives. He also teaches Constitutional Law as an adjunct professor at Woodbury University, inspiring the next generation of legal thinkers.
