About
Ryan Barack is a Board-Certified Labor and Employment Law attorney—one of fewer than 200 in Florida to hold this distinction from The Florida Bar. Board certification represents the highest level of recognition for legal expertise and professional excellence, underscoring his deep knowledge and extensive experience in employment law. Throughout his career, he has dedicated his practice to advocating for fairness in the workplace and providing strategic counsel in complex employment-related disputes.
Ryan earned his Juris Doctor from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary, where he served on the William and Mary Law Review and was selected as a Graduate Research Fellow—one of only thirteen students to receive a three-year merit-based fellowship. In this role, he contributed to prominent legal publications, including Federal Civil Rights Acts and Smolla and Nimmer on Freedom of Speech. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and secondary education from Vanderbilt University.
With a unique background representing both management and employees, Ryan offers a balanced and informed perspective that strengthens his advocacy for clients. After beginning his career representing employers, he now primarily represents employees in cases involving discrimination, retaliation, wage disputes, and other workplace rights issues. His litigation and advisory work are grounded in experience, precision, and a deep understanding of labor relations and employment law.
Ryan Barack is an active contributor to the legal community, having served as Chair of The Florida Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Certification Committee, Chair of the Federal Court Practice Committee, and Chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section. A frequent speaker and published author, he regularly appears in the media to discuss evolving employment law issues. Through his leadership and advocacy, he continues to advance integrity and fairness in Florida’s workplaces.
