T. Jonathan Adams

T. Jonathan Adams is a seasoned attorney at Strianese Huckert LLP in Charlotte, North Carolina. With nearly 25 years of legal experience, Adams focuses on employment law and business litigation. He represents both employees and employers in a wide range of workplace matters, offering trusted advice and effective advocacy across North Carolina.

Adams earned his J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Duke University and a B.B.A. from the University of Kentucky.

Adams began his legal career by clerking for the Hon. John C. Martin, former Chief Judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Before joining Strianese Huckert LLP, he spent 20 years as a partner at Hamilton Stephens Steele + Martin, PLLC. His practice includes handling discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, employment contracts, FMLA claims, and restrictive covenant issues such as non-compete and confidentiality agreements. Adams also has significant experience in FINRA arbitration, representing both financial professionals and customers in disputes.

Adams is a certified North Carolina Superior Court mediator and holds a prestigious AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting his high ethical standards and legal ability.

Outside the courtroom, Adams is committed to public service. He has volunteered with the Council for Children’s Rights, North Carolina Legal Aid, and Safe Alliance. He’s been a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for over a decade and actively serves on several local boards and community organizations.
