Sunil R. Varghese

Sunil R. Varghese is an experienced attorney with over 15 years of legal practice in immigration and estate planning. He assists individuals and families in preparing essential legal documents such as wills, trusts, and incapacity directives. His work also includes advising on complex family-based and cross-border immigration cases.

Sunil completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Government with Honors. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and received a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies.

Sunil worked as Counsel to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein on the Senate Judiciary Committee, offering insights on immigration-related policy and oversight. He also served as Senior Director of Global Policy at the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), where he led domestic and international advocacy efforts focused on expanding protections for displaced communities.

His work in both nonprofit and private practice settings has shaped his commitment to advancing access to justice.

Sunil holds a Security Fellowship with the Truman National Security Project and is a member of the South Asian Bar Association of DC. He also served on the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) National Asylum & Refugee Committee and maintains active participation in professional legal circles.

Sunil R. Varghese is licensed to practice in New York, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He remains committed to helping clients manage complex legal challenges professionally and carefully.
