Bert Starr

Bert Starr is a trusted legal advisor with more than four decades of experience representing individuals and business owners in complex legal matters. Bert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University of Law. He is licensed to practice in Texas and Michigan and admitted before various U.S. federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

Bert is a proven legal leader with extensive service in both local and national bar associations. He has served as President of the Plano Bar Association and as Chair of the Collin County Bar Association’s Estate Planning Section. Bert is also an active member of the American Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association’s Tax and Estate Planning Sections, reflecting his deep experience in estate planning and tax law.

Bert is deeply engaged in his community. He has served on several city boards, Rotary clubs, and nonprofit organizations. He has received multiple civic honors, including Citizen of the Year by the Richardson Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Outstanding Young Texan award from the Texas Jaycees.
