Steve Hoffman

Steve Hoffman is a corporate and mergers and acquisitions attorney who advises startups, growth companies, and global organizations on complex business transactions and commercial matters. His work focuses on helping companies scale operations, negotiate agreements, and complete strategic transactions across a variety of industries.

Steve earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Northwestern University. While there, he served in leadership roles, including appointments as a university arbitrator and Illinois conciliator. He later received his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University, where he served on the Dean’s Roundtable and the Technology Committee.

With more than two decades of experience, Steve has worked as a litigator, arbitrator, mediator, and transactional attorney. His legal practice includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and international commercial agreements across industries such as technology, pharmaceuticals, and energy.

Steve regularly negotiates complex global commercial agreements, including software and SaaS contracts, licensing arrangements, and cross-border business deals. He also supports startup growth by developing legal playbooks, structuring transactions, and helping companies prepare for investment or acquisition opportunities.

He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
