Shawn D. Meade is the Managing Partner and founding attorney of MyRights Immigration Law Firm. He has dedicated his entire legal career to defending immigrants and their families. His expertise spans removal defense, immigration court representation, and federal litigation before courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Meade earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where he received an academic scholarship. He also holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University and an A.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado. He further enhanced his skills with a Diploma in Legal and Business Spanish from the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.
Since passing the Colorado Bar in 2008, Mr. Meade has been at the forefront of immigrant advocacy. He has successfully obtained lawful permanent residence, U visas, VAWA protections, and waivers. He is known for handling complex immigration records, background complications, and appeals at various administrative and judicial levels.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Mr. Meade’s bilingual ability and deep cultural understanding strengthen his ability to connect with and advocate for clients. His legal representation extends across the Colorado Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the Tenth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
