Ryan M. Lanxton

Ryan M. Lanxton is a Michigan litigation attorney who handles business and commercial disputes, municipal matters, labor and employment cases, and legal issues involving the marijuana industry. His work also includes appeals. He helps clients evaluate claims and defenses, prepare for each stage of a case, and address disputes through careful research and legal analysis. Ryan graduated with honors from the University of Michigan–Flint in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2024, graduating cum laude. While in law school, he made the Dean’s List twice, in fall 2021 and fall 2023. He also received awards for the highest grade point average in the Federal Pro Se Legal Assistance Clinic and Trial Practice courses.

Ryan began working as a law clerk in 2022 and became an associate attorney after passing the Michigan bar examination. His litigation work spans factual investigations, drafting pleadings and motions, and managing complex discovery. He examines the evidence behind claims and defenses while helping clients understand their options as cases develop. His practice covers disputes involving businesses, local government, employment relationships, and Michigan marijuana law, along with matters that proceed to appeal.

Ryan M. Lanxton is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Macomb County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
