Ronald S Pohl

Ronald S. Pohl is the founding partner of the Pohl Law Group and a highly respected attorney with extensive experience in corporate law, trusts and estates, and real estate law. Before establishing his firm, he spent 19 years as a managing partner at Rothfeld & Pohl, a boutique firm specializing in trusts and estates. He previously led the trusts and estates department at Lifshutz & Polland. His legal background also includes practicing at Tannenbaum Dubin & Robinson, where he worked in corporate, real estate, and estate planning law.

Ronald Pohl earned his J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School and a B.S. from Brooklyn College. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1984. His expertise in taxation law is strengthened by his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential, allowing him to provide comprehensive legal and financial guidance for estate planning and administration.

Recognized for his dedication to estate planning, Ronald Pohl has been featured in major publications, including The New York Times and Parade magazine, and was named “Person of the Week” by ABC News with Peter Jennings for his efforts in preserving the musical works of his elderly client, Julius Burger. He is also highlighted in Legal Ethics in the Practice of Law, a book used in law schools, as an example of an attorney committed to going above and beyond for his clients.

In addition to his active trusts and estates practice, Ronald Pohl is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section, the American Bar Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He frequently presents seminars on trusts and estates law to accounting firms and law firms. Ronald has been recognized for his legal excellence as a Super Lawyer in 2011 and from 2013 through 2021.

Beyond his legal work, Ronald S. Pohl is a board member of the Interfaith Committee of Remembrance. As a passionate oenophile, he has been inducted into the Commanderie de Bordeaux and other wine societies.
