Raúl Torrez

Raúl Torrez serves as the 32nd Attorney General of New Mexico, bringing decades of public service experience as a former federal prosecutor and senior advisor at the U.S. Department of Justice. Before his election, he served as District Attorney for the Albuquerque metro area, leading one of New Mexico’s largest legal offices with integrity and purpose.

As Attorney General, Raúl has prioritized protecting children and strengthening community safety. His office has filed lawsuits against major tech companies for enabling online abuse, investigated systemic failures in child welfare, and coordinated undercover operations targeting online predators. He also champions youth mental health and the prevention of cyberbullying and hazing in schools.
