Gentner Drummond

Gentner Drummond serves as Oklahoma’s Attorney General, bringing nearly three decades of legal experience marked by leadership, accountability, and integrity. Since being sworn in on January 9, 2023, he has made it his mission to protect Oklahomans by enforcing the law, promoting transparency, and dismantling organized crime networks threatening the state’s safety and sovereignty.

Gentner earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University before completing his Juris Doctor at Georgetown University. His educational foundation reflects both his intellectual discipline and his commitment to public service, preparing him to navigate the complexities of law and governance that define his tenure as Attorney General.

Gentner’s early career included service as an assistant district attorney and later as a private attorney after founding Drummond Law in 1999. Alongside his legal work, he has been deeply involved in Oklahoma’s business and agricultural communities, drawing on his background as a seventh-generation Oklahoman, rancher, banker, and entrepreneur. His broad professional experience gives him a pragmatic understanding of the challenges faced by citizens and businesses alike.

A highly decorated U.S. Air Force pilot, Gentner served during the Persian Gulf War and led the first combat mission of that conflict. His courage and excellence earned him the Distinguished Flying Cross for “extraordinary achievement,” along with three Air Medals and four Aerial Achievement Medals. This military service instilled in him a profound sense of duty and leadership that continues to guide his work in public office.

Gentner Drummond’s tenure as Attorney General has been defined by decisive action against illegal marijuana operations, human trafficking, and opioid distribution. He has championed stronger laws against violent crime and fought to preserve Oklahoma’s energy independence from federal overreach.
