Portia Baudisch is an associate in Pullman & Comley’s Litigation practice, where she represents clients in general commercial disputes in both state and federal courts. Her work includes drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, as well as managing discovery. She began her career with the firm as a 2023 Summer Associate, gaining early experience in litigation strategy and research.
Portia earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2024, where she also obtained a Certificate in Energy & Environmental Law. While in law school, she served on the Connecticut Law Review and held leadership roles in the Mock Trial Society, Negotiation & Dispute Resolution Society, Energy & Environmental Law Society, and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in 2018.
Portia’s professional background reflects a blend of legal and communications experience. She gained valuable legal insight as a Judicial Intern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas O. Farrish, as a Law Clerk Intern for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, and as a Volunteer Intern for the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General. Before law school, she worked as a fact-checker at CBS News and as an on-air reporter in El Paso, Texas, covering politics and legal issues.
Recognized for her advocacy and communication skills, Portia Baudisch was named Best Oralist and a finalist in the Hastie Moot Court Competition at UConn Law. Her journalism achievements include the National Broadcasting Society’s Best Video News Story Award. She now brings this combination of advocacy, research, and analytical skill to her legal practice, providing clients with dedicated and thorough representation.
