Philip graduated from Augusta State University, later renamed Augusta University, before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia. During law school, he was active in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the Student Bar Association, and the Public Defender Clinic. He also served as a student attorney in the Public Interest Practicum and gained hands-on experience working as a law clerk with a nationally recognized plaintiffs’ firm.

Philip has been recognized for his work and leadership within the legal community.
