Peter M. Kirwin is a highly experienced New York attorney with over 15 years of dedicated practice in real estate law and commercial litigation. His legal focus spans many areas, including complex real estate transactions, landlord-tenant disputes, and cooperative and condominium housing law. Mr. Kirwin has handled numerous large-scale residential and commercial property transactions and is well-versed in litigation and transactional matters.

Mr. Kirwin’s practice includes representing clients in real estate contracts, foreclosures, lease preparation and review, 1031 exchanges, and zoning and land use. Mr. Kirwin also provides legal guidance in administrative proceedings and Article 78 litigation involving the NYC Department of Buildings and the Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR). His deep understanding of loft law, co-op, condo conversions, and disputes makes him a valuable resource for property owners, boards, and shareholders.

Mr. Kirwin is also experienced in arbitration and has litigated various forums, including the Surrogates’ Court, the Loft Board, HPD, and AAA arbitration. He has a strong background in prosecuting and defending mortgage foreclosure matters and is often called upon to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.

In addition to his legal career, Mr. Kirwin brings a unique perspective to his practice. Before attending law school, he completed the executive training program at Macy’s Northeast and held various managerial roles. He also contributed to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Committee, showcasing his leadership and organizational skills.

Mr. Kirwin earned his Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia. He is admitted to practice law in New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York County Lawyers’ Association.
