About
Alex Banzhaf is a partner at Tuttle Yick LLP, where he helps lead the firm’s commercial litigation practice. Since his first day of admission to the bar, Alex has been immersed in high-stakes, multi-million-dollar litigation, building a reputation for effective courtroom advocacy and strategic thinking. His litigation portfolio spans plaintiff and defense work in complex disputes involving real estate, M&A, partnerships, fraud, RICO claims, class actions, insurance coverage, antitrust, employment discrimination, and executive compensation.
Alex represents clients in federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey and American and Bermudan arbitration forums. His notable successes include obtaining summary judgment in a high-profile partnership dispute, dismissing a $20 million liquidated damages claim, and achieving favorable outcomes in employment litigation and insurance defense matters. He has also played a key role in extracting advantageous settlements in M&A fraud cases involving claims exceeding $100 million.
In addition to litigation, Alex is a trusted advisor on insurance coverage matters, offering guidance to insurers and policyholders. His deep understanding of coverage strategy, policy language, and claims practice allows him to deliver results that mitigate exposure and reduce client risk. His practical, business-minded approach helps clients navigate complex regulatory frameworks—especially in the insurance and cannabis industries.
Alex also leads Tuttle Yick’s New Jersey practice and brings extensive trial and appellate experience across every county and federal jurisdiction in the state. He is a Barrister in the New Jersey chapter of the Lifland Inn of Court, underscoring his commitment to developing legal professionalism.
