Megan E. Simpson is an Associate attorney dedicated to helping families across the DFW community. As a second-generation family law attorney, she understands the challenges clients face during difficult transitions. Her practice centers on steady guidance, practical solutions, and clear communication from start to finish.
Megan earned her Juris Doctor from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in 2015. She also received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of North Texas in 2012, one in History and one in Political Science. She graduated in the top 15% of her law school class.
During law school, Megan focused fully on family law. She interned with the Texas Attorney General’s office, a District Court Judge in Collin County, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Dallas County, and the Collin County District Attorney’s Office Family Justice Division. She also served as chief counsel at SMU’s Child Advocacy Clinic.
Megan represents clients in divorce, same-sex divorce, and family law matters, including property division and property agreements. Her practice also includes military family law, child custody & visitation, child support, adoption, and Child Protective Services cases. She handles litigation & appeals while also working toward early and fair resolutions.
Megan seeks to reduce conflict whenever possible. She avoids unprofessional conduct and works toward informal and formal settlement options. When resolution cannot be reached, she carefully prepares each client for court and advocates clearly so their voices are heard and their situations understood.
Admitted to practice in Texas since 2015, Megan E. Simpson is a member of the Collin County Bar Association. She remains committed to protecting her clients’ rights while guiding them through each stage of the legal process with confidence, preparation, and strong advocacy.
