Erin Webster O’Brien is the President and Attorney of her firm, concentrating exclusively on family law matters throughout Illinois. She represents clients in divorce, high-asset divorce, spousal support, asset division, and parenting disputes, providing strategic guidance tailored to each family’s unique circumstances.

Erin graduated with the highest honors from Lewis University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Criminal Justice and Social Justice, and American Studies. She later earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in May 2004, building a strong academic foundation for her legal career.

Licensed by the Supreme Court of Illinois in November 2004 and admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in January 2005, Erin began her career as an associate attorney concentrating in family law. She also gained litigation experience in criminal defense, personal injury, and administrative hearings.

In November 2008, Erin opened her own law practice, focusing on divorce and related family law matters. Her practice includes pre-nuptial agreements, divorce decree modifications, post-divorce enforcement, child support, allocation of parental responsibilities, and parenting time disputes.

Committed to alternative dispute resolution, Erin earned a Professional Certification in Divorce Mediation Skills Training from Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies in March 2008. She became a Fellow of Collaborative Divorce Illinois, expanding her ability to help clients resolve disputes outside traditional courtroom litigation.

Erin is an active member of the Will County Bar Association, Will County Women’s Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association. She served as President of the Will County Bar Association for the 2019–2020 membership year, demonstrating leadership within the legal community.

Erin Webster O’Brien’s professional accomplishments include being named a Top 40 Lawyer Under 40 in family law by the American Society of Legal Advocates for 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2018, her firm was recognized with the Herald News Best of Will County Readers’ Choice Award as one of the top three law firms in Will County.
