Curtis Bennett Ross

Curtis Bennett Ross is the Attorney and Founding Member of The Law Offices of Curtis Bennett Ross, LLC, concentrating his practice on divorce and family law in Cook County. He represents clients in matters involving child support and custody, spousal maintenance, adoption, paternity, domestic violence, and complex business valuation.

Curtis earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in 1980. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in 1977. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1977, adding substantial financial credentials to his legal training.

Licensed to practice law in Illinois since 1980, Curtis combines decades of courtroom experience with advanced financial expertise. His CPA background enables him to analyze complex income structures, value closely held businesses, and address executive compensation and asset division issues in high-conflict divorce proceedings.

The court has recognized Curtis’ specialized financial knowledge through appointments as a receiver and financial expert in family law matters. He has also served as a Cook County child’s representative, guardian ad litem, court facilitator, and court-appointed receiver, reflecting the judiciary’s confidence in his professional judgment.
