Max E. Bridges

Max E. Bridges is a partner at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP, where he practices in both intellectual property and environmental law. A registered patent attorney, Mr. Bridges focuses on patent prosecution and enforcement, trademark and copyright protection, and IP litigation. His clients range from innovators in biotechnology and software to companies in manufacturing, medical devices, and renewable energy. With dual expertise in science and law, he is known for delivering detailed, strategic counsel on invention protection, brand enforcement, and regulatory matters.

Mr. Bridges earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2014 and holds a B.S., summa cum laude, in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Kentucky. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky, before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and in federal district courts. His early career included roles with the Southern Environmental Law Center, Kentucky Energy and Environmental Cabinet, and the Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

In the intellectual property space, Mr. Bridges has secured utility and design patents across diverse technologies, including software, agricultural packaging, electrical systems, audio devices, and medical tools. He also advises clients in patent litigation and IP licensing. In environmental law, he provides guidance on compliance with state and federal regulations, remediation projects under CERCLA and RCRA, and has secured multiple Brownfield Exemptions to support redevelopment initiatives in Kentucky and beyond.
