Elisabeth (“Libby”) Gray is Principal Partner at Gray Ice Higdon, PLLC, where she focuses on high-stakes business litigation. She represents clients in complex commercial disputes, with a strong emphasis on intellectual property, unfair competition, trade secrets, and restrictive covenant litigation. Known for her expertise in prosecuting and defending non-compete and misappropriation of trade secrets cases, Elisabeth has even been qualified as an expert witness in federal court. She routinely handles cases involving “bet-the-company” exposure and is recognized for her strategic guidance, responsiveness, and courtroom success.
Elisabeth Gray earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1998 and her B.A. in Spanish from the University of Oregon in 1993.
With decades of litigation experience, Elisabeth has tried cases to judgment before both juries and judges in federal and state courts. She also represents clients in arbitration proceedings and appellate matters. Her cutting-edge skills in eDiscovery have played a critical role in securing forensic evidence through court orders for the examination of digital devices. Elisabeth has shared her knowledge as an adjunct professor at Sullivan University, teaching eDiscovery to future legal professionals.
Elisabeth Gray’s professional recognition spans many years and includes Kentucky Super Lawyers® (2010–2025), Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America®, and Benchmark Litigation. She is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America™ and a recipient of numerous leadership awards. She also serves as a managing partner of her firm and was appointed by the Kentucky Supreme Court to the Jefferson County Business Court Pilot Project.
