Elisabeth Gray

Elisabeth (“Libby”) Gray is Principal Partner at Gray Ice Higdon, PLLC, where she focuses on high-stakes business litigation. She represents clients in complex commercial disputes, with a strong emphasis on intellectual property, unfair competition, trade secrets, and restrictive covenant litigation. Known for her expertise in prosecuting and defending non-compete and misappropriation of trade secrets cases, Elisabeth has even been qualified as an expert witness in federal court. She routinely handles cases involving “bet-the-company” exposure and is recognized for her strategic guidance, responsiveness, and courtroom success.

Elisabeth Gray earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1998 and her B.A. in Spanish from the University of Oregon in 1993.

With decades of litigation experience, Elisabeth has successfully tried cases to verdict before juries and judges in both federal and state courts. She also advocates for clients in arbitration and handles complex appellate matters. A recognized leader in eDiscovery, Elisabeth leverages advanced digital forensics to obtain and analyze electronic evidence, including securing court-ordered examinations of computers and other devices. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Sullivan University, where she taught eDiscovery and trained the next generation of legal professionals.

Elisabeth Gray’s professional recognition spans many years and includes Kentucky Super Lawyers® (2010–2025), Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America®, and Benchmark Litigation. She is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America™ and a recipient of numerous leadership awards.
