He received his B.S. with highest honors in Engineering Science from the Speed Scientific School at the University of Louisville in 1992.
Before joining Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP in 2005, Matthew worked for a decade at GE Appliances, where he held roles in design engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing. This technical background informs his deep understanding of patentable technologies in fields such as medical devices, refrigeration, consumer products, and industrial machinery. He has successfully prosecuted and enforced patents and trademarks worldwide, managed cross-border IP portfolios, and advised on complex domain name disputes and trade secret protection.
