While in law school, Matthew gained hands-on experience at the ONU Legal Clinic and served as a legal intern with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. These roles sharpened his understanding of labor laws and deepened his commitment to advocacy in the employment law space.
Matthew A. Smith was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2024 and is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association. Before entering law, Matthew volunteered for community service organizations such as Court Appointed Special Advocates, LifeStream Services, and the Salvation Army. His strong connection to public interest continues to guide his legal work today.
