Martin E. Hsia is a registered patent attorney recognized for his leadership in intellectual property and technology law. He advises on patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, computer, licensing, internet, and entertainment law. His guidance helps clients safeguard innovations, resolve disputes, and secure their creative and commercial rights across industries.
Martin received his B.A. with honors from Brown University in 1978. He went on to earn his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1981.
Martin provides counsel on both domestic and international intellectual property protection. He handles U.S. and foreign patent and trademark applications, copyright filings, and related proceedings. His practice also includes representing clients in federal court and before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as coordinating opposition and cancellation matters through global networks.
Martin has received enduring recognition for his legal skill. Earlier in his career, he worked with the U.S. Congress Office of Technology Assessment on patent and energy law projects and also gained experience with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
