Steven Wieland

Steven Wieland is the managing partner of Mooney Wieland Warren PLLC, where he focuses on representing corporate and organizational clients in protecting their commercial interests. His practice spans complex litigation involving corporate governance, securities, intellectual property, and commercial disputes. He handles matters from trial through appeal, as well as arbitration, offering clients strong advocacy at every stage of litigation.

Steven earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, and was a member of the Order of the Coif from the University of Iowa College of Law, a top-25 law school. While there, his scholarship on civil rights was cited by the Iowa Supreme Court in the landmark case Varnum v. Brien. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Cornell College, with majors in Sociology, Political Science, and Spanish. Following law school, he gained valuable experience clerking for the Idaho Supreme Court, working at Schiff Hardin in Chicago, and practicing at Hawley Troxell in Boise before co-founding his current firm.

In his litigation practice, Steven has successfully defended hotel ownership rights in trial, won punitive damages in a securities fraud case involving cryptocurrency, and prevailed in copyright, breach-of-contract, and arbitration disputes for a prominent software company. He has also represented clients in real estate, medical reimbursement, and high-profile arbitration matters, including defending the position of a U.S. Olympic Team member. His track record demonstrates his ability to navigate high-stakes, complex disputes across industries and jurisdictions.
