Mark Hobbs has devoted nearly twenty years to helping clients navigate estate planning, business formation, and nonprofit governance with clarity and confidence. Known for his personalized approach, he designs legal strategies that safeguard families’ legacies and promote long-term financial stability, ensuring that each plan reflects the client’s individual goals and priorities.

Mark earned his B.B.A. in Finance from Abilene Christian University in 1997 and his M.B.A., with honors, from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business in 1998. He later obtained his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law in 2005. His strong academic foundation prepared him for a distinguished career that bridges the worlds of law, finance, and community service.

Mark began his professional path in corporate finance, working as a Senior Associate in Deloitte & Touche’s Corporate Finance Group, where he specialized in business valuation and mergers and acquisitions. He then served as Finance Manager at Intrinsity, Inc., applying his analytical expertise to high-tech business operations. These experiences gave him unique insight into complex financial structures that now enhance his legal practice.

Mark entered private practice in 2005 with Beard, Kultgen, Brophy, Bostwick, and Dickson before co-founding Johnson Hobbs & Squires in 2014, where he served as Managing Partner until 2021. In 2022, he became Executive Director of the Bernard & Audre Rapoport Foundation, leading major philanthropic efforts. He also serves on the boards of Waco Family Medicine and Central National Bank, continuing his strong record of community leadership.

Mark Hobbs has been recognized by Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Thomson Reuters, in 2014–2015, and holds a 9.0 Superb rating from AVVO as a Top Estate Planning Attorney.
