Sean Guerrero is a litigation shareholder recognized for his deep experience in oil and gas and corporate litigation. Sean earned his B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2001, where he was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Licensed in Texas and New Mexico, he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas and the District of New Mexico. His academic foundation and courtroom experience have made him a trusted authority in the oil and gas sector.
Sean has served as lead appellate counsel before the Texas Supreme Court and the 8th and 11th Courts of Appeal. He successfully argued and prevailed in Mitchell v. Map Resources, Inc. (Tex. 2022) and Gill v. Hill d/b/a DOH Oil Company (Tex. 2024), both landmark mineral ownership cases shaping state constitutional and property law.
