Jack Ladd

Jack Ladd is a skilled attorney recognized for his extensive legal background and commitment to public service. A fourth-generation Midlander and current City Councilman for District 3, he brings leadership, integrity, and community insight into his practice. His career includes work in legislative offices and legal positions requiring precision, advocacy, and analytical excellence.

Jack began his academic journey at The University of Texas in Austin, where he earned a B.A. in History in 2005. He later attended Texas Tech School of Law, where he obtained his J.D. in May 2012 while simultaneously completing an MBA. During his time there, he earned the Advanced Mock Trial Champion award in 2012, showcasing his litigation skills and dedication to professional excellence.

Jack has experience in diverse practice areas, including criminal law, family law, wills and trusts, and corporate law. His legal background includes work as an associate attorney at Atkins, Hollman, Peacock, Lyon, Lewis, and Durrell in Odessa, where he handled a variety of cases with careful attention to client needs. Licensed in both Texas since 2012 and New Mexico since 2013, Jack continues to apply his strong understanding of law and policy across jurisdictions.

Jack’s commitment extends beyond the courtroom. As a City Councilman, Vice Chairman of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, and active member of several community boards, he demonstrates consistent civic involvement. His leadership with the Midland Parks and Recreation Commission, Aphasia Center of West Texas, Harmony Home, and Young Professionals of Odessa reflects a lifelong dedication to improving community welfare.
