Mark F. James has practiced law in Salt Lake City since 1988, representing clients in complex commercial and tort litigation across federal and state courts. His work spans intellectual property, securities, product liability, real property, construction law, class actions, and personal injury. Recognized as an efficient trial lawyer, he has secured multi-million-dollar jury verdicts and settlements while also defending businesses and individuals in high-stakes disputes.
Mark earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he was named to the Order of the Coif. Mark also holds both an M.B.A. and a B.A. in accounting, magna cum laude, from Utah State University, graduating at the top of his class. Throughout his career, Mark F. James has handled notable cases, including a $24 million jury award against DHL and a $15 million fraud class action settlement. His extensive trial experience has been complemented by service as a court-appointed receiver and special master.
