About
M. Jalie Meinecke has dedicated her legal career to serving the people of Wyoming and Montana in a wide range of practice areas. She is known for representing clients in personal injury and wrongful death claims, guiding families through probate, protecting assets with estate planning, and advising on business law and corporate matters. Her practice reflects a commitment to protecting individual rights and supporting community needs.
Jalie began her education locally, first earning an Associates Degree from Northwest College in Powell in 1994, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming in 1997. She completed her legal studies with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2000. That same year, she was admitted to the Wyoming State Bar, and in 2003, she was sworn into the Montana State Bar.
Jalie’s academic focus included agricultural, mineral, and water law, subjects closely tied to the Wyoming way of life. She also served in leadership roles with the Natural Resources Law Forum and contributed scholarly work to the Land and Water Law Review, including a detailed article on brucellosis in Wyoming. This foundation prepared her to advocate for clients facing complex legal issues in diverse areas of law.
Jalie has handled cases involving car accidents, product liability, workplace injuries, and wrongful death matters, ensuring clients receive just compensation. She also helps individuals and families establish business entities, create wills and trusts, and navigate probate with clarity. Her broad experience extends to contracts, real estate transactions, and banking litigation, giving clients the advantage of a lawyer who understands both personal and commercial legal challenges.
M. Jalie Meinecke also serves the profession and her community through her membership in the Wyoming State Bar, the Montana State Bar, and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association. She is a past president of the Park County Bar and has served on the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Board of Directors. In addition, she volunteers her time to organizations like Mountain Spirit Habitat for Humanity, Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center, and the Cody Senior Center, offering pro-bono legal assistance to those in need.
