Julie C. Alexander

Julie C. Alexander is an Associate Attorney at the Employment Law Office of John H. Haskin & Associates, LLC, where she brings over 15 years of experience in employment and labor law. Julie earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2004. She holds a B.S. in Microbiology from Ball State University, which she earned in 1989.

She has served as an Administrative Law Judge for unemployment hearings, as General Counsel and Director at the Indiana Department of Labor, and as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana. Her well-rounded public service experience provides her with valuable insight into employment regulations and government enforcement.

Julie represents employees and employers in complex workplace disputes, including pregnancy discrimination, military status discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and employment contract claims. She is a frequent speaker on workplace safety, administrative law, and labor law compliance at national legal and safety conferences. Julie also publishes regularly on sex discrimination in the workplace, including a 2024 decision, Baugh v. For Bare Feet, LLC.

Julie C. Alexander is admitted to practice law in Indiana and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Indianapolis Bar Association, NELA, and the Federal Bar Association. She served on IndyBar’s Employment and Labor Executive Committee for over five years and was honored with the 2016 President’s Award and Pro Bono Award for her contributions.
