John H. Haskin

John H. Haskin is the founding partner of the Employment Law Office of John H. Haskin & Associates, LLC, the largest employment law firm dedicated to employee representation in Indiana. With decades of experience in civil rights, constitutional law, labor law, and employment-related litigation, Mr. Haskin is widely recognized for his commitment to protecting workers’ rights across the state.

Mr. Haskin earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in 1977. He also holds a B.S. in Economics from Indiana University (1970), following his graduation from Chatard High School.

Mr. Haskin launched his legal career at the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, serving as an investigator, conciliator, and legal intern. After earning his law degree, he founded his own law firm and became a dedicated mentor to aspiring attorneys, many of whom gained hands-on experience as law clerks in his office while attending law school at night.

Mr. Haskin has successfully represented clients in administrative hearings, bench trials, and jury trials, including landmark cases involving age discrimination, reverse race discrimination, and sexual harassment. Notable cases include Carr v. Allison Gas Turbine (reversed for the plaintiff on appeal), Lehman v. Yellow Freight (upheld the plaintiff’s verdict), and McKelvey v. American Legion.

John H. Haskin has also contributed to continuing legal education as a speaker in advanced employment law programs and serves as legal counsel for the Indiana Veterans Service Officers Association, which he helped incorporate. He has served as Legal Deputy under two sheriffs for over 24 years and remains active in bar associations, including NELA, the Indiana State Bar, and the Federal Bar Association.
