Jeffrey D. Moy is a U.S. Registered Patent Attorney and electrical engineer with a career in intellectual property law since 1994. His work spans preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, with more than 350 U.S. patents issued from applications he has handled across electrical and mechanical fields.
Jeffrey earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in 1989 and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1994. He was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona and the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona in 1994, and to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1995.
Jeffrey’s career began as an electrical engineer and project manager at Texas Instruments in Dallas. In that role, he led clean room design projects, set project parameters, reviewed designs for compliance with standards, and oversaw work by external engineering consultants to meet contract and regulatory requirements.
Jeffrey’s technical expertise includes computer architecture, analog and digital circuitry, and semiconductor fabrication and packaging. He has extensive experience guiding engineers on patentable innovations, advising on filing strategies, and conducting patent analysis for domestic and international matters.
Jeffrey served as corporate counsel for STMicroelectronics in Carrollton, Texas, where he provided intellectual property education, supervised outside counsel, negotiated patent matters, and managed licensing agreements. He also analyzed competitor products for potential infringement and ensured strategic alignment in intellectual property protection.
