Stephen H. Hall is a partner whose practice spans intellectual property litigation, prosecution, and transactions. Mr. Hall earned his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, magna cum laude, from Auburn University and his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law. At Alabama, he was a Hugo Black Scholar, a member of the Order of the Coif, and served as Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review.
In litigation, Mr. Hall has represented clients in cases involving weather systems, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and computer systems. His experience includes proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and alternative tribunals such as ICANN. On the transactional side, he advises on licensing, research collaborations, IT contracts, open-source software, and intellectual property issues arising from government contracts. He also conducts IP audits and provides patentability, infringement, and validity opinions.
Actively engaged in the entrepreneurial community, Stephen H. Hall mentors early-stage startups and advises on commercialization strategies.
