Ms. Holt earned her B.S. in Electrical Engineering with honors from Auburn University. She later received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a Hugo Black Scholar, Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, a member of the Intellectual Property Moot Court Team, and winner of the Saul Lefkovitz Trademark Moot Court Regional Competition.
Before entering law, Ms. Holt spent 11 years as an electrical engineer at The Boeing Company. She worked as a test engineer and designer for the International Space Station, where she established test methods, prepared procedures, conducted environmental testing, and designed fixtures for critical aerospace components. This technical background informs her legal practice, especially in complex patent matters involving advanced technologies.
Angela Holt’s IP practice includes securing patents in fields such as virtual and augmented reality imaging, medical devices, sensors, antennas, and manufacturing systems. She also prosecutes trademarks, copyrights, and represents clients in inter partes proceedings before the TTAB.
