James Lee Bright serves as Of Counsel and is widely recognized for his distinguished career in criminal defense. With more than 25 years of legal experience, he has represented clients in thousands of cases, ranging from misdemeanor charges to complex federal trials. His courtroom presence and legal strategy have earned him national recognition and consistent client trust.

James earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and German from Hampden-Sydney College in 1993. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1996 and later completed an LL.M. in International Law at SMU’s Dedman School of Law in 2003. During his LL.M. studies, he was a Phi Delta Phi honor fraternity member and also served as a visiting professor at the University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Poland.

Licensed to practice in Texas since 1997, James is admitted to multiple federal courts, including all four U.S. District Courts in Texas, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is also active in several professional organizations, serving as President of the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and participating in the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Independent Bar Association.
