About
Finley Williams is among Florida’s elite criminal defense attorneys, holding Board Certification as a Criminal Trial Specialist—an honor awarded to fewer than 1% of the state’s criminal lawyers. As the youngest attorney in Florida to receive this designation, Finley has demonstrated exceptional skill and a deep commitment to criminal law.
Finley earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Florida in 2008. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012. His academic record and legal training laid a strong foundation for his rapid rise in Florida’s legal community.
Before joining the defense bar, Finley served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 4th Judicial Circuit, covering Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties. His prosecutorial career advanced quickly, culminating in his role as Senior Felony Trial Attorney. In that capacity, he handled thousands of criminal cases and developed the trial experience that now benefits his defense clients.
Criminal defense attorney Finley is recognized for his relentless trial advocacy and insider understanding of how both the prosecution and defense build their cases. Named one of the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Trial Attorneys, he uses a results-focused, strategic approach that clients facing serious criminal charges rely on when their future is on the line.
Finley Williams is also a Jacksonville native with strong ties to his community. His addition to Monroe Law reflects a shared dedication to legal excellence and client-focused representation. Whether in the courtroom or at the negotiation table, Finley delivers skilled advocacy built on experience, reputation, and results.
