Gregory A. Kopacz is a Member of the Sills Cummis & Gross Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Reorganization Practice Group. He provides business-focused legal strategies in Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court workouts, and complex litigation. His clients include debtors, creditors’ committees, lenders, landlords, tenants, and trade creditors across a wide range of industries.

Gregory earned his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Pepperdine University before completing his Juris Doctor cum laude at Boston University School of Law. He later earned an LL.M. in Banking and Finance Law from Boston University, further strengthening his expertise in financial restructuring and insolvency matters. His strong academic background supports his ability to deliver comprehensive and results-oriented counsel.

Gregory has represented numerous Chapter 11 debtors, including Global Benefits Group, Inc., National Realty Investment Advisors, LLC, and The Northwest Company, LLC. He has also acted on behalf of creditors’ committees in high-profile cases, including Madera Community Hospital, Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, and Hahnemann University Hospital. His experience extends to ad hoc committees, where he served as co-counsel in the Thrasio Holdings, Inc. bankruptcy, as well as representing landlords and tenants in major proceedings, including WeWork Inc. and Ninety-Five Madison Company, L.P.

With bar admissions in New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts, Gregory practices in some of the nation’s busiest bankruptcy jurisdictions.
