About
Gerardo Avalos is a Nevada-based attorney with a strong commitment to public service. He focuses his practice on consumer protection and child advocacy. A U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, he transitioned from military service to law, bringing discipline, compassion, and a service-oriented mindset to his legal career.
Gerardo began his undergraduate studies in Homeland Security and Emergency Management at Strayer University in Washington, D.C., while actively serving in the Marine Corps. After completing his military service with an honorable discharge, he set his sights on the legal profession. He earned his J.D. from the William S. He also volunteered his time at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada as a Criminal Record Sealing Class instructor and contributed to the UNLV Immigration Clinic, assisting low-income immigrants with asylum interviews and applications.
Since being admitted to the Nevada Bar in 2020, Gerardo has dedicated his legal skills to representing children in abuse and neglect cases through the Legal Aid Center’s Children’s Attorney Project.
