Matthew I. Knepper

Matthew I. Knepper, Esq., is the Founding and Managing Member of Nevada Bankruptcy Attorneys, LLC. He is an experienced and dedicated attorney who focuses his practice on consumer bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, foreclosure mediation, consumer litigation, and debt and credit management. Over the past decade, he has helped thousands of Nevada consumers protect their homes, discharge debt, and find a path to financial recovery. Matthew earned his J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, graduating in 2012. Before law school, he attended San Diego State University on an athletic scholarship, playing Division 1 men’s volleyball for the Aztecs. His diverse background includes leadership as a union shop steward for the Culinary Union, where he worked closely with labor attorneys and union members to improve working conditions and contract terms. This experience inspired him to pursue a career in law.

After earning his law degree, Matthew clerked for several federal judges in Nevada, including United States Bankruptcy Judges Mike K. Nakagawa and Bruce A. Markell (Ret.) and United States District Judges Andrew P. Gordon and Jennifer A. Dorsey. He then worked for one of the nation’s largest corporate litigation firms, defending mortgage servicers during the Great Financial Crisis, before turning his focus to representing consumers against large banks, creditors, and credit reporting agencies.

Since founding his own practice, Matthew I. Knepper has saved thousands of homes from foreclosure and helped clients discharge millions in personal debt. He also works on consumer class actions and helps shape foreclosure mediation programs, using his legal skills to give consumers a fighting chance. Clients appreciate his practical advice, deep empathy, and unwavering dedication to helping them hold onto their assets and peace of mind.
