George S. Shea

George S. Shea brings decades of legal and corporate experience to his role as Of Counsel at Creighton McLean & Shea PLC. He has been with the firm since 1988 and became a partner in 1992. His practice focuses on real estate, estate planning, litigation, and business transactions, where he combines legal acumen with deep practical knowledge gained from his prior work in the private sector.

George earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in 1988 and received B.A. degree cum laude from Michigan State University in 1974. Before becoming an attorney, George worked at Williams International, Inc., a defense and aerospace company, where he served as a Contract Manager. In that role, he was responsible for negotiating and implementing multimillion-dollar contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense and major aerospace firms. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in business negotiations and complex transactional work, which he now brings to his legal practice.

In addition to his professional achievements, George is actively engaged in community service. He has served as Chairman of the Plymouth Canton Educational Excellence Foundation and as a member of the Madonna University Hospice Education Advisory Board. He was also a founding director of Christmas in Action of Wayne County, a nonprofit dedicated to helping low-income elderly and disabled homeowners with essential home repairs.
