Rebecca Heltzer

Rebecca Heltzer is a seasoned attorney with over 35 years of legal experience practicing in Minnesota state and federal courts. Her work focuses on delivering practical and cost-effective legal solutions across a range of civil matters. Rebecca focuses her practice on real property law, construction law, contracts, lease reviews, wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning. She is known for her thoughtful approach and dedication to ensuring clients understand their legal options and outcomes. Her work is grounded in helping individuals and families navigate complex legal challenges with confidence and expertise.

Rebecca earned her B.S. in Natural Resource Management from Colorado State University in 1984 and her J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1989. That same year, she was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. She later expanded her federal practice credentials with admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in 1994 and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado in 2018.

In addition to her legal practice, Rebecca has held leadership roles in numerous organizations and bar associations. She has contributed to the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Diversity Committee and served on the Unmarried Couples Task Force. Her board service includes work with Training to Serve, Wayside House, New Foundations, and WHAM.

Rebecca Heltzer is also an experienced presenter and author, with a focus on estate planning for non-traditional families and GLBT legal issues. Her publications and presentations reflect her deep engagement with legal education and advocacy for underserved communities.
