About
Elizabeth K. Watson is an attorney with John D. Wheeler & Associates whose practice consists mainly of civil litigation matters. She works with corporate and individual clients to help them pursue their goals and resolve disputes through practical legal strategies. Her connection with the firm began before law school, when she worked as a receptionist and legal assistant. That early experience provided firsthand exposure to legal practice and client service before she entered the profession as an attorney.
Elizabeth earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2017 and a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in 2009. She graduated first in her law school class and served on the University of Dayton Law Review as a staff writer and comment editor. She also worked as a research and teaching assistant, strengthening the legal research, writing, and analytical skills that support her litigation practice.
Elizabeth completed an externship with the Department of Law for the City of Dayton, working directly with the City Attorney on proposed legislation and legal research. As a research assistant, she helped Professor Thaddeus Hoffmeister complete legal texts addressing Ohio criminal law and social media. Her law review comment examining the citizenship status of American Samoans was selected for publication in the Winter 2017 Special Edition of the University of Dayton Law Review.
Elizabeth K. Watson is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Mexico and before the US District Court for the District of New Mexico. She works with clients on civil disputes requiring careful research, analysis, and problem-solving. Her background in legal writing, academic research, municipal legal work, and earlier law firm service supports a well-rounded approach to litigation. She remains focused on helping corporate and individual clients understand their legal options and work toward effective resolutions.
