Elizabeth Jubin Fujiwara is a veteran civil rights and employment attorney with more than 20 years of courtroom experience. She co-founded the law firm Fujiwara and Rosenbaum, LLLC in 2010, continuing her longstanding commitment to advocating for employee rights, workplace fairness, and civil justice. She has litigated cases involving discrimination, labor law, civil rights violations, and intellectual property. Ms. Fujiwara is also available as a neutral fact-finder and offers alternative dispute resolution in employment matters.

Ms. Fujiwara earned her J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law, where she served on the Law Review. She holds an M.S.W. from the University of Hawaii School of Social Work and a B.A. in Sociology from Loyola University, New Orleans. She has also completed advanced mediation and arbitration training.

Elizabeth Fujiwara began her career clerking for Judge Walter Heen on Hawai‘i’s Intermediate Court of Appeals. In 1986, she launched her own law firm, becoming a pioneer in the field of employment law in Hawai‘i. She was selected as the Outstanding Woman Lawyer in the state just a year later, in 1987. From 2001 to 2003, she served as Senior Trial Attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for Hawai‘i and the Pacific Basin.

Ms. Fujiwara is the founding president of the National Employment Lawyers Association-Hawai‘i and served as National Chair of the ATLA Employment Section. Her work has shaped local and national legal conversations through published works and training seminars on sexual harassment, litigation strategies, and employee rights.

Admitted to the bars of Hawai‘i and Colorado, as well as multiple federal courts, Elizabeth Fujiwara continues to fight for those facing discrimination or injustice in the workplace, making her a respected leader in the legal community.
